Drop Link Replacement
Drop links are small, inexpensive parts that make a surprising amount of noise when they wear. They are one of the most common causes of a front-end rattle.
Rattle over rough roads?
Symptoms of worn drop links
- Rattling or knocking over uneven surfaces, worse at low speed
- A light clonk when turning into a driveway
- Play felt when the link is checked by hand on the ramp
- Noise that changes when one wheel is loaded
What we do
- Confirm the noise source rather than assuming links
- Replace links and anti-roll bar bushes where worn
- Check surrounding arms, mounts and steering joints
- Road test to confirm the noise has gone
